Comprising Sarah Dean, Jane Stockdale, and Chris Bartram, this mesmerizing trio blends harmony vocals and an array of instruments, including guitars, mandolin, Celtic harp, Appalachian dulcimer, shruti box, trumpet, flute, woodwinds, and percussion. Their music, inspired by nature, history, and heritage, tells tales of love, life, the land, and the sea, weaving contemporary and traditional sounds. With performances that are joyous, vibrant, gentle, and mesmeric, White Sail has delighted audiences across the country at folk clubs, festivals, and radio shows. They've shared stages with Siobhan Miller, Heather Findlay Band, Luna Rossa, and Ray Cooper (ex-Oysterband), and toured with Liam Ó Maonlaí of Hothouse Flowers, both supporting and backing him.

George is singer songwriter from Northallerton. Having been honing his song-writing craft and live performances over the past decade, George has been gaining some well-earnt attention and acclaim. His pure voice and tumbling guitar make for a bewitching combination, with an effortless maturity and poetic lyricism that have left audiences around the country entranced. He has been invited to support and perform alongside many established artists such as Richard Thompson, Scott Matthews and Katherine Priddy. On top of these live performances, his music been featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 Music, RTE Radio 1 and BBC Radio Ulster.

Chechelele World Choir

 

Pronounced cheh-cheh-leh-leh, this group’s name means 'happy' in the South African Ndebele language, perfectly capturing the spirit of their performances.

 

Incorporating traditional African rhythms and songs as the core of their repertoire, they have also collected and performed music from across the globe, including Bulgaria, Georgia, Macedonia, China, France, Finland, Israel, Hawaii, New Zealand, Columbia, and the Amazon. Their diverse set includes spirituals, gospel music from the Southern States, and various songs that defy categorization. Chechelele sings in the original languages, accompanied by movement, percussion, drumming, calling, and ululation, offering songs about everything from harvesting to unrequited love to the freedom struggle.
