Gaelforce are: Chris Dyson (fiddle & vocal) – ex-Mike Harding Band, .Geoff Taylor (electric guitars),. Sammy Dowgill (bass, vocals) & Jim Brierley (drums, vocals).

With a lifetime dedicated to folk music, Alistair brings a unique blend of heritage and experience to every performance with enchanting music and heartfelt stories.. Growing up in the North-East of England with Scottish parents, his music is a heartfelt tribute to his roots.

 

With over thirty years in folk music recording 8 albums, Alistair's journey from the sixties’ beat boom to the legendary Battlefield Band recording a further 11 albums. Inspired by his Scottish heritage and global travels, Alistair's music blends traditional Scottish and Irish songs with self-penned originals and sentimental ballads.

 

After years of touring with the Battlefield Band, Alistair's solo career has flourished, bringing his captivating performances to folk clubs, arts centres, and festivals throughout the UK. His rich experience also spans management, album production, and live sound engineering.

 

Alistair has one of the most distinctive and finest voices in Folk Music. His latest recording exudes class, featuring a top-notch repertoire, all sung with that superb voice.

MAKK left a lasting impression with a short set at Wetherby, and now he's back to dazzle us with a full performance! Since then, MAKK has turned professional, produced a record, and got married.

 

In 2021, Yorkshire-based singer-songwriter David McEvoy, known as MAKK, crossed paths with producer and co-writer Jacob Clarke at Evoke Studio in Leeds. Over the past two years, this dynamic duo has crafted a unique Indie Dream Folk sound that captivates listeners with its lo-fi and experimental production, ethereal and dreamy atmospheres, and MAKK’s moody vocals paired with introspective lyrics.

 

MAKK’s musical journey has been marked by significant milestones. From the transformative moments at Evoke Studio to the creation of a record that reflects his growth as an artist, MAKK continues to push the boundaries of Indie Dream Folk.
