Chris Manners

Chris is a Yorkshire-based singer song-maker and guitarist and have been honing my craft for more than forty years. His work is rooted in the English folk tradition, influenced by guitarists such as Martin Carthy and Nic Jones, songwriters like Bill Caddick and Jake Thackray but, really, wants to be a Foo Fighter.

He cut his performing teeth in Barnsley and have performed all over the UK, including the Sidmouth and Towersey festivals and West End Theatres. He loves engaging face-to-face with an audience, entertaining listeners with ramblings about vampires, lighthouses, decorating, heartbreak and happiness, loneliness and good company.

Dariush Kanani

Captivated from a young age by the guitar playing of Bert Jansch, Davy Graham and John Renbourn, Dariush Kanani has performed, studied and taught with some of the most influential figures in fingerstyle guitar. These include Renbourn himself, Stefan Grossman, Clive Carroll and Wizz Jones. Dariush toured the U.K. and Ireland extensively last year as Clive Carroll’s special guest and duo partner on Clive’s ‘Music Of John Renbourn’ tour. He is currently writing material for a new solo album.

“Beautiful, clean guitar tones with intricate arrangements and a magical voice are the powerful ingredients for Dariush’s music. I’m jealous!!!”    – Stefan Grossman

“How refreshing to hear a young player who truly embraces the early British roots of acoustic guitar playing. His influences are pretty clear but he somehow captures the spirit of the great players like Bert Jansch and John Renbourn and makes it his own.”   – Gordon Giltrap
